The Best Banana Pudding Delight Recipe 🍌🍮

Prep Time: 20 Minutes
Chill Time: 4 Hours
Servings: 10-12

This creamy Banana Pudding Delight is loaded with layers of fresh bananas, vanilla wafers, fluffy whipped cream, and rich vanilla pudding. It's the perfect Southern dessert for cookouts, holidays, potlucks, and family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cold whole milk 🥛

  • 1 (5 oz) package instant vanilla pudding mix 🍮

  • 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk 🥫

  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract 🍦

  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream 🥄

  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar

  • 4 ripe bananas, sliced 🍌

  • 1 box Nilla Wafers 🍪

Instructions

Step 1: Make the Pudding

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the cold milk and vanilla pudding mix for about 2 minutes until thickened.

Add the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth and creamy.

Step 2: Make the Whipped Cream

In a separate bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream and powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.

Gently fold the whipped cream into the pudding mixture until light and fluffy.

Step 3: Assemble the Banana Pudding

In a 9x13-inch serving dish:

  • Add a layer of Nilla Wafers.

  • Add a layer of sliced bananas.

  • Spread a layer of pudding mixture.

Repeat layers until all ingredients are used.

Finish with a final layer of pudding on top.

Step 4: Garnish

Top with:

  • Crushed Nilla Wafers

  • Banana slices

  • Whole Nilla Wafers

Step 5: Chill

Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

The longer it chills, the better the flavors come together.

Tip 🍌

For bakery-style banana pudding, let it chill overnight. The cookies soften into cake-like layers while the bananas infuse the pudding with flavor.

Serve cold and enjoy!
