Who Is DaShawn (@BadLikeNicki)?
DaShawn Peterson, better known online as @BadLikeNicki, has become a familiar voice within the Barb community through Twitter Spaces and online discussions centered around Nicki Minaj, pop culture, and fan engagement.
Outside of social media, DaShawn is passionate about mental health advocacy and LGBTQ+ initiatives throughout Northwest Indiana while actively working toward a career in radio and television broadcasting.
Becoming a Barb
DaShawn's introduction to Nicki Minaj came after hearing her unforgettable verse on "Bottoms Up."
Although that first exposure caught his attention, he says he truly became a dedicated Barb during the transition between the Roman Reloaded and The Pinkprint eras around 2013–2014.
