Ingredients
Beef Patties
1½ pounds ground beef or ground turkey
½ cup breadcrumbs
1 egg
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
Onion Gravy
2 tablespoons butter
1 large onion, sliced
2 tablespoons flour
2 cups beef or chicken broth
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
½ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Combine:
Ground beef / turkey
Breadcrumbs
Egg
Worcestershire sauce
Garlic powder
Onion powder
Salt
Pepper
Form into 6 oval patties.
Step 2
Brown patties in a large skillet.
Remove and set aside.
Step 3
Add butter and onions.
Cook until caramelized.
Step 4
Sprinkle flour over onions.
Cook 1 minute.
Step 5
Whisk in:
Beef broth or chicken broth
Worcestershire sauce
Black pepper
Simmer until thickened.
Step 6
Return patties to skillet.
Cover and simmer 15 minutes.
Step 7
Serve over mashed potatoes.
