Ingredients

Pasta Layer

  • 16 ounces spaghetti noodles
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Meat Sauce

  • 1 pound ground beef or ground turkey
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 24 ounces marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Cheese Layer

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup cottage cheese

Topping

  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, freshly shredded
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese

Instructions

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Grease a 9x13 baking dish.

Step 2

Cook spaghetti according to package directions.

Drain and toss with butter.

Step 3

In a large skillet cook ground meat and onion until browned.

Add garlic and cook 30 seconds.

Stir in marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.

Simmer for 10 minutes.

Step 4

In a separate bowl mix:

  • Cream cheese
  • Sour cream
  • Cottage cheese

until smooth.

Step 5

Spread half the spaghetti into the baking dish.

Spread the cheese mixture over the pasta.

Add remaining spaghetti.

Top with meat sauce.

Step 6

Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan over the top.

Step 7

Bake for 30-35 minutes until hot and bubbly.
